This website does not set any cookies, does not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services and does not load any content from third-party servers (such as fonts, videos or maps).
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, which processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Whenever a page is accessed, your browser technically transmits the following data to the server: IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the previously visited page (referrer), browser type and operating system. Without this data the website cannot be displayed.
We need this data to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The IP address is stored in the log files only in anonymised form; the logs are deleted after eight weeks at the latest. The connection to the website is encrypted (https).
Contact by email or phone
If you write to us or call us, we process your details in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as a contract or its preparation is concerned, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Links to other websites
This website links to the services of other providers, such as publishers, booksellers and broadcasters. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click on such a link; that provider’s privacy policy then applies. The links to Amazon, Thalia and Hugendubel are affiliate links of the Penguin Random House publishing group: they tell the retailer which link you came from, and the publisher may receive a commission. This does not change the price.
Your rights
You have the right of access to the data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Simply contact us (see above for contact details).
Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
